Cynthia Webb

Dr. Webb is the Founder and Managing Partner of Webb & Co. Patent Attorneys, since its inception in 2001. Dr. Webb is a registered Patent Attorney in Israel since 1994, and is a registered U.S. Patent Agent since 1995.
Dr. Webb specializes in patentability evaluations, due diligence for investors, and freedom to operate opinions in view of third party patents. She has extensive experience in advising clients on patent strategy and portfolio management.
Before establishing Webb + Co, Dr. Webb had over ten years as a tenure track academic position at the Weizmann Institute of Science, followed by over ten years experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. During her academic appointment Dr. Webb also served as an expert consultant to the World Health Organization for four years, and took sabbatical leaves at the La-Jolla Cancer Research Foundation and U.C. San Diego. After ten years at the Weizmann Institute, Dr. Webb switched to a career in the biotechnology industry, where she worked first at Biotechnology General Ltd. and then at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. Later on she trained as in-house patent attorney at Pharmos Inc.

M.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology
Ph.D. in Immunology from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot (thesis advisors Profs. Ruth Arnon and Michael Sela, thesis research being on the drug Copaxone).
Postdoctoral fellowship at the Rockefeller University with Nobel Laureate Prof. G. M. Edelman.
