Ran Vogel is a partner focused on advising Fortune 500 companies, multinational corporations, domestic companies, technology-based companies, universities and start-ups that are at the forefront of the pharmaceutical, life sciences, telecommunications, technology and defence and security sectors, on a wide range of contentious IP matters.

His clients are primarily generic and research-based pharmaceutical companies, start-up enterprises, universities, telecommunications companies, defence and military sector and precision mechanics manufacturers.

In addition to representing clients in patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright disputes, Ran also advises on intellectual property protection, use and exploitation, industry-related regulatory matters and parallel imports.

Ran has particular expertise in representing clients in complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes including the US, EU, the UK and other jurisdictions

Ran particularly specializes in drugs regulation, and also in clinical trials and animal testing. Ran is additionally highly experienced in preparing legal opinions pertaining to validity, ownership and inventorship of patents and the provision of freedom to operate.

Ran is also involved in matters relating to the drafting of amendments to the Israeli Patent Law and other regulations relevant to the pharmaceutical sector.

In addition, just in the past year, Ran has been involved and represented clients in 3 cases – and won (see matter 1 – blockbuster drug Velcade® and matter 2).

Ran is recognised by IP STARS as a "star" in Israel in the field of Patents. Ran was also ranked in IAM PATENT 1000 in the second tier (silver ranking) for patent litigation.
