Over 17 years' experience in Intellectual Property, including positions in both in-house and IP firms, with a strong focus on IP strategy and its tailoring to the client's/company's needs.

I started out my IP career in 2006, as an intern at the technology department at Reinhold Cohn. & Co., Practicing under Ena Pugatsch and David de Vries. In 2008, I received my Patent Attorney license (No. 316), and then stayed on with Reinhold Cohen for 8.5 more years, dealing with a variety of cutting edge technologies, with a strong focus on mechanics - cutting tools, armor & ballistics, locking mechanisms, water desalination and irrigation systems, industrial processes, and solar energy.

In 2016, I started on a new path as an in-house patent attorney at Medtronic, providing IP services to its various affiliates in Israel (Given Imaging, Oridion, VisionSense), for a range of medical devices. Working at Medtronic opened two interesting windows for me: a) it was a serious deep dive into medical devices; and b) it allowed me to understand how IP fits into the needs of a large corporate organization, and how it is managed.

Five years later, at the beginning of 2021, I had the privilege of stepping in as the IP director for Momentis Surgical (then 'Memic Innovative Surgery'), a company developing state-of-the-art robots for minimally invasive surgery. There I was in charge of Momentis Surgical's entire IP portfolio on all it's aspects (Patents, Designs, Trademarks etc.), implementing work protocols, IPMS and Search systems, IP business intelligence and preparation of the portfolio for due diligences, M&A's, and investor reviews.

At the end of 2023, I circled back and joined Shalev Jencmen & Co., as Partner and Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department.

I believe that part of being a good patent attorney is being able to step into your client's shoes, and understand things from their perspective on IP as well. That, combined with a rich experience allows me to provide the most accurate advice and services to our clients.
